Kisspeptin-10

KISS1R Agonist — HPG Axis Activator

Updated April 14, 2026

What is Kisspeptin-10?

The biologically active C-terminal decapeptide fragment of full-length kisspeptin-54, binding the KISS1R (GPR54) receptor on hypothalamic GnRH neurons. Kisspeptin-10 is the most potent known upstream activator of the reproductive axis — a single bolus triggers robust LH and FSH pulses within minutes by stimulating pulsatile GnRH release. Its ultrashort half-life (~4 min) enables precise temporal control of HPG axis activation in research settings.

Research Profile

Structure 10 amino acids (~1,302 Da) — kisspeptin(112-121) C-terminal fragment
Targets KISS1R (GPR54) on GnRH neurons
Research Focus Reproductive neuroendocrinology, GnRH pulse control, puberty onset, fertility disorders
Reconstitution Bacteriostatic water — 0.5 mg/mL
Stability 14 days at 2–8°C
Key distinction: Most potent upstream trigger of the reproductive axis — directly controls GnRH pulse frequency from above the hypothalamus, unlike GnRH analogs that act at the pituitary level.
