Peptide Storage Guide
Updated April 16, 2026
Peptide Storage Guide Proper storage is critical for maintaining peptide integrity. Temperature, light, and moisture are the three primary degradation factors.
Lyophilized (Powder) Storage Optimal: -20°C freezer, desiccated, protected from light. Stable for 12-24 months under these conditions.
Acceptable: 2-8°C refrigerator if using within 3 months.
Reconstituted Storage Always: 2-8°C refrigerator after reconstitution. Never freeze reconstituted peptides — ice crystal formation damages tertiary structure.
Stability varies: See individual peptide profiles. Most: 14-28 days. Some exceptions (Tesamorelin: use immediately; FOXO4-DRI: 7 days).
General Rules Protect from light (use amber vials or wrap in foil for light-sensitive peptides like VIP) Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles for lyophilized peptides Keep reconstituted vials upright in the refrigerator Label every vial: peptide name, concentration, date reconstituted, expiry date
